![]() ![]() #The circle the afterparty seriesAbrams’ HBO series Demimonde as “a woman who is torn away from her husband and daughter in a brutal scientific accident,” per Variety. * Danielle Deadwyler ( Station Eleven, Watchmen) will star in J.J. * Keke Palmer will succeed Megan Thee Stallion as judge on HBO Max’s Legendary, which returns for Season 3 on Thursday, May 19. Additionally, Cree Summer ( Better Things) and Ashley Blaine Featherson-Jenkins ( Dear White People) will guest-star. * Run the World Season 2 has added Tika Sumpter ( mixed-ish), comedian CP ( Detroiters) and Isha Blaaker ( The Flight Attendant) in recurring roles. Kelley’s Peacock crime-drama The Missing. Circle, send message, good night.* Noel Fisher ( Shameless), Steven Pasquale ( Rescue Me), Stephanie Szostak ( A Million Little Things), Tony Curran ( The Flash, Defiance), Annabelle Dexter-Jones ( Succession) and Christopher Mann ( The Right Stuff, The Wire) will recur in David E. Rant over, I feel better now that it’s all written out. They should’ve just put some of the better clips on YouTube and not advertised it as some sort of epic reunion special. ![]() Then David Spade gets another minute long segment called “after thoughts” where he roasts everyone, and the credits roll.Ġ/10 most of this had nothing to do with the show and what was relevant was nothing new or worth it. Lee/Jack end up winning, and get… a plate of two fake-looking catfish? Wow. ![]() THEN, an 8 minute game show called “Top 3” where The Circle finalists pair up and answer quiz questions about which emoji or TikTok song is the most used, or what state has the most catfishing, and a tiebreaker question of how many Instagram followers Cristiano has. Then, a 3 minute segment called “Netflix Mastermind” where David Spade pretends to be working as a producer behind the scenes of The Circle, spewing scripted jokes with a few other “Netflix employees”. For whatever reason, that was relevant enough to be brought up in this interview at all, let alone garnering this response. What representation, you may ask? Yep, of all things, it’s the representation Mitchell brings of being a virgin. Michelle Buteau ends her interview by saying “representation matters”. Except she does make a joke about joining the show because they don’t drug test. We get a 6 minute interview with host Michelle Buteau, which is the only somewhat interesting segment. There is a 90 second “fan question” segment, which were actually just the blandest producer questions: “What’s the best/worst post you’ve ever seen?” (which wasn’t even related to the show but about social media itself) and “What did you learn about yourself through being on this show?” Their humor falls flat later during the quiz show too, like insulting Floridians and questionable impressions. There are some flashbacks to the most legendary moments of the game, which were apparently just Chloe/Deleesa meeting at the end and a Courtney one-liner montage (which didn’t even include his best ones).įortune Feimster (one of the hosts) spends their time self promoting their own personal ice cream t-shirt merch, which apparently Lance Bass wore. Just a bunch of boring surface-level questions and some cringy lines/jokes. Besides Deleesa’s pregnancy reveal (while in game at that) and “Clitchell” (Chloe/Mitchell) sharing a kiss off-screen, there is nothing new or interesting here. They spend just the first 13 minutes asking the cast questions. The other 4 finalists are on a giant video call wall, but I guess the 5 blocked players weren’t invited. Only 2 players (Courtney/Lisa) are there in person. Stars of “The Circle” drop by to discuss Season 2’s big winner, some juicy behind-the-scenes gossip and their enduring friendships with one another. Please excuse me as I cathartically rant about it for the rest of this thread. As someone who greatly enjoyed The Circle S2, I was excited to check out the 35 minute afterparty episode that just dropped (it’s under a separate show page from The Circle if you search for it on Netflix). ![]()
